Important Update!

steph hey you
I now have a completely anal retentive run down of Stephanie's costumes available on the wiki. It's really thorough and full of totally biased commentary and other such silliness. You should check it out, because I put work into it and stuff

The Sweeping Saga of Stephanie's Superhero Suits!

In other news, I hung out with Joanna and John this weekend. It was fun, we went to the mall and I made fun of Twilight a lot (it was EVERYWHERE) and John tried valiantly to defend it and then we went to "This is It" because Joanna loved Micheal Jackson so much, and it was actually pretty good with amazing dancing and special effects and all that.

I got Secret Six and Incredible Hercules this week.

For Secret Six:

The Deadshot character piece was decent and a good read, so 4/5

and Incredible Herc...well, it wasn't bad, but I don't think it was one of the better issues, and having to listen to Spiderman whine about being set up with homeless people (Though I hold vague, smoldering contempt for the whole deal, I'm not even remotely close to being so raged over One More Day that I go CAPS over Peter's every appearance, but honestly, the dude's complaining about being set up with *ohnoes* homeless people and having no luck with his love life after selling his marriage to the devil. As a reader, I can't drum up any sympathy) and seeing the "girl ineffectually pounds fists on man's chest and cries" trope in play (I hate that trope so much!) really dampened my enjoyment. Maybe I should get some back issues. 3/5

s'all for tonight.

Ahaha, I saw Twilight the other day! I felt so bad for poor Bella, having to hang out with those awful nerds. Although I did really love Alice and the LesYay ("I can tell we're going to be very good friends", "keep your thoughts to yourself").

That and Ashley Greene in that baseball uniform make for my shameful tolerance of the series.

((okay, those things and how much fun it is to poke at))

I'm so glad Steph lost the leather underwear.

Yeah, see, I saw that preview up on Scans Daily recently, and although I was annoyed by the 'no redheads' comment, what ticked me off more was the homeless bit. Ugh! I mean, from history, Peter should be the last person to talk about that in such a put-down attitude, considering how often he's come to being homeless himself, what with the career of a photographer and affording his own rent and LIVING on his own and whatnot.

It just seemed so unlike Peter. But then again, everything has since BND/OMD... that's not Peter, it's Douchy McLameHaremAnimeLead.

Also, nice history of Steph's costume there. Makes for good reference if I ever get to a con as the alt-dimensional Spoiler, a.k.a. Steven Brown.

Your Costume History is fantastic. I agree with the hood issue, it fell down or turned to the side constantly until we put velcro criss-crossing top of the mask. However, my preference is to keep the outside underwear. None of the StephsVoice girls that wore the costume got a wedgie but then again we aren't using Stanz's thong version, lol. I feel it breaks up the visual of the costume and I always figured that that would be a good place for added armor or to hide spare tools if a baddie took your belt (as they always do). Back in Blue Beetle - Peacemaker asked Robin about his, didn't he?

Overall the history was fun and informative. It boggles the mind that there were so many versions of the costume.

Thanks for your hard work.

Man, you're a geek. Who puts that much effort into talking about a comic character? XP

Yeah, this wasn't a great month to start on Herc. The weird gender stuff in particular was very strange - the Artume-takes-over-the-world arc was possibly the single most intelligent, thoughtful, balanced, feminist take on gender issues and the whole patriarchy deal I've ever seen in a comic, so seeing lame cliches and Herc being randomly sexist was very whiplash-y in addition to being tiresome.

Holy crap, you were not kidding about the anal-retentivness. It was all very interesting though!

My haircut looks just like Steph's short hair! This fills me with glee :D
